Q: How much does a pet door cost to install through glass?

A: In short, typically about half of the cost of installing a pet door through the exterior wall of a house. However, since all our pet doors are a custom installation, each job will be different. Factors include the size of your door, type and thickness of your glass, and the size of your pet (how big of a pet door you require). Q: Are your pet doors really installed into glass doors?

A: Yes! We have a unique installation technique that we will explain when we provide your free quote. We install our custom pet doors directly into almost any glass door! This way, we don’t have to cut holes in any exterior walls which avoids long, and often messy construction projects.

Q: How long do your installations take? 

A: Typically, our installations will take 2 hours or less. 

Q: Do Veterinarians recommend pet doors? 

A: Some do, yes! A surprising number of our customers are referred by their vets because their pets keep getting UTIs, and they recommend pet doors so their pets can go outside when they need to "go"!

Q: Why not just install one of those sliding glass door inserts?

A: Since our pet doors are installed directly into the glass, your sliding glass door will open fully and you will retain full functionality of your door, just as it did before you had a pet door.

Q: My dog has never used a pet door before. Is it easy to train them? 

A: The short answer, is yes! Training your pet to use a pet door is one of the easiest things you can teach your pet. See our “Training” page for more information. We even offer training sessions!

Q: Are your pet doors permanent? 

A: Our pet doors are semi-permanent. Installation and removal will require an experienced professional, but we are able to reverse our process so you have your original door if you ever move or decide that you no longer need a pet door. Labor charges would apply.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: Yes! You can pay in full, or over 4 installments with no additional fee*.

Q: What can I expect after I schedule my free quote? 

A: Once you schedule your free quote, we will come out to measure and inspect your door which takes around 30 minutes. Next, we will provide an all-in quote (no hidden costs or fees). If you decide to move forward, we will schedule an installation date which is typically about 3-4 weeks after you approve your quote. 

Q: What are the benefits of having a pet door? 

A: With a pet door, your pet will have controlled access to their outdoor space when you are too busy, or not home to let them out. No more scenarios where your pet is constantly asking to go outside, and then almost immediately wanting to come back in.

Q: Do your pet doors come in different sizes?

Yes. We offer doors for pets of all sizes. We have different 14 sizes! As part of our free quote process, we will match your pets to the door that is most suitable for their size(s). 

Q: Can I control my pet’s access to our pet door?

Absolutely. All our doors come with a panel that you can open and close to allow or prevent outdoor access.
